Effective classroom and behavior management skills are essential for your success in the classroom. As you come to understand and implement the skills taught in Chapter One of the Substitute Teacher Handbook and included on the SubInstructor eTraining and Classroom Management CDs, your ability to effectively manage the classroom environment and direct student behavior increases. The following five skills for effectively managing student behavior are based on the basic principles of human behavior:
